SINOPSIS Episódio 6:

 

"Charles (Daniel Rigby), ha pedido un topógrafo, para encontrar la ubicación más asequible de cantera de piedra para el viaducto. Pero cuando Annie (Jessica Raine) y Johnny (Hans Matheson), descubren que la cantera es dónde están enterrados los cuerpos de Happy Jack y flaco, cunde el pánico. Sin duda, si trasladan los ataúdes, descubrirán el cuerpo "Rojo". Todo lo que pensaban que estaba muerto y enterrado ahora parece volver y destruir todo por lo que han luchado. Mientras Annie y Johnny, hacen todo lo posible para mantener a George (Sam Bottomley) en calma y evitar que se arroje su secreto, la Ciudad está indignada. Se reúnen alrededor de Hatty (Lucy Negro) y las supersticiones abundan. Hatty, conquiatado por la promesa de una nueva y decente lápida para Jack, cede a la inevitabilidad de la exhumación y la pide a Annie, que esté a su lado cuando llegue el momento. Annie, va a tener que mantener la calma en las más extremas circunstancias. Johnny, se hace cargo de la exhumación, con la esperanza de evitar que el cuerpo de "Rojo" sea descubierto. Como los ataúdes de "Jack" y "Flaco" son extraidos, Annie y Johnny, piensan que saldrán impunes. Pero un resbalón de Coates (Clarke Peters) sobre la tierra, da la oportunidad de intervenir y, cuando lo hace, él es consciente de que la tierra debajo de las tumbas se altera, y no es por otra razón si no la de que - a alguien más - enterrado allí. Es "Rojo". Aunque "Rojo", no era querido en el pueblo, la noticia de su asesinato y la profanación de las tumbas de "Jack" y de "Flaco", hacen que el terror se extienda a lo largo de Jericó. Coates está ansioso por descubrir quién podría ser el asesino, y una pista en la tumba, le lleva hasta la cabaña de Annie. Temeroso de George, ella se mantiene firme frente a la investigación de Coates, pero éste, parece que va a llegar al fondo del asunto. Después del desagradable asunto de exhumación, Charles e Isabel (Jeany Spark) tratan de reconstruir su relación. Aunque acordaron que su matrimonio sería por temas de negocios, Isabella ahora quiere ser la esposa de Charles en todos los sentidos de la palabra. Pero cuando la Epiphany (Martina Laird) sin darse cuenta, deja escapar la verdad sobre Isabella y el pasado de Johnny, nadie podrá estar preparado para las consecuencias. Tanto Annie, Johnny y George, luchan por mantener sus nervios a raíz del descubrimiento del cuerpo de "Rojo", las cosas toman un giro desagradable. Coates, tiene un sospechoso en la mira y parece poco probable que renuncie, hasta que lo tenga bajo llave."

 

SYNOPSIS Episode 6:

 

Charles (Daniel Rigby) has asked a surveyor to find the most affordable location to quarry stone for the viaduct.  But when Annie (Jessica Raine) and Johnny (Hans Matheson) discover that the quarry site is where the bodies of Happy Jack and Skinny are buried, panic sets in. Surely if they move the coffins they will discover Red. Everything they thought was dead and buried now looks to come back and destroy everything they have fought for. While Annie and Johnny do all they can to keep George (Sam Bottomley) calm and prevent him from spilling their secret, the town is in outrage. They rally around Hatty (Lucy Black) and superstitions abound.  Hatty, won over by the promise of a decent new head stone for Jack gives in to the inevitability of the exhumation and asks Annie to be at her side when the time comes.  Annie is going to have to keep it together in the toughest of circumstances. Johnny takes charge of the exhumation, hoping to prevent Red’s body being discovered.  As the coffins of Jack and Skinny are removed, Annie and Johnny think they are going to get away with it. But a slip in the earth gives Coates (Clarke Peters) the chance to step in and, when he does, he’s aware the earth beneath the graves is disturbed and there’s something else – someone else - buried there. It’s Red. Although Red was not loved in the town, news of his murder and the desecration of Jack and Skinny’s grave spreads horror throughout Jericho.  Coates is eager to discover who the murderer might be, and a clue from the gravesite leads him to Annie’s hut.  Fearful for George, she stands firm in the face Coates’ investigation but Coates looks set to get to the bottom of this. After the unpleasant business of the exhumation, Charles and Isabella (Jeany Spark) try to piece together their relationship.  Although they agreed their marriage was in the name of business, Isabella now wants to be Charles’ wife in all senses of the word.  But when Epiphany (Martina Laird) unwittingly lets slip the truth about Isabella and Johnny’s past, no one can be prepared for the consequences.

As Annie, Johnny and George struggle to hold their nerve in the aftermath of the discovery of Red’s body, things take an ugly turn. Coates has a suspect in his sights and looks unlikely to give up until he has him under lock and key.
